Iraq’s Petroleum Industry Workshop 2025 (IPIW2025) is pleased to announce the release of the key outcomes and recommendations resulting from the Strategic Panel Session and the Industry–Academia Collaboration Panel Sessions.
IPIW2025 brought together senior decision-makers, industry leaders, academic experts, and technical professionals to discuss the future of Iraq’s petroleum sector. Through its diverse activities, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing sessions — including around 100 technical presentations showcasing the latest technologies, practical solutions, and innovative approaches — the workshop served as a high-level platform for addressing key challenges and exploring future opportunities in Iraq’s oil and gas industry.
The outcomes presented on this post summarize the major recommendations developed through strategic dialogue and technical exchange between government, industry, and academia. They reflect IPIW2025’s commitment to strengthening cooperation, supporting technology transfer, enhancing national capabilities, and contributing to the sustainable development of Iraq’s petroleum sector.

The Arabic version of the IPIW2025 panel sessions’ outcomes and recommendations was submitted to key decision-makers within the Ministry of Oil, where it received a positive reaction and support. The document was subsequently officially reviewed and authenticated by H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs – Minister of Oil, reflecting the significance and relevance of the workshop’s strategic and technical recommendations to the future development of Iraq’s oil and gas sector.
